A Sister’s Reflection
I recently had
a 16th birthday party; all of my family came over to
celebrate with me. Amidst all the chaos and presents,
I realized the most important gift was my younger brother
Peter, who is almost four, present with us. I realized
how much it means to me for him to be in our family.
The doctors told us that Peter was going to be a burden
to us, but he’s been the greatest blessing and
our family would simply not be complete without him!
I’m so grateful to God giving us Peter for this
long when he wasn’t expected to live and I hope
people will understand that kids who have disabilities
like Peter are the greatest gifts to be cherished and
appreciated.
